Melissa Stroebel is the Head of Research and Insights at Thorn, a non-profit organisation developing technology to defend children from sexual exploitation. Melissa has spent more than a decade combating the online sexual exploitation of children as a victim identification analyst, product manager, and researcher. In her current role, she serves as a subject matter expert and drives strategic research examining emerging threats and trends in online exploitation.

Melissa graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in history and George Washington University with a master’s degree in forensic science
