Julian Millan Platero

Julian Francisco Millan Platero is the Cybercrime Global Programme Officer at UNODC Philippines, a position he has held since August 2022. With over a decade of experience, he specializes in combatting online child sexual abuse and exploitation. His career began at the Spanish National Police as a Border Control Officer in 2005, progressing to a detective in the High-Tech Unit against Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation in 2009. There, he played a pivotal role in resolving complex OCSEA investigations and supporting judicial proceedings.

From 2015 to 2020, Millan Platero served as a Criminal Intelligence Officer with INTERPOL, focusing on global crimes against children. He later joined Facebook as an analyst, applying his expertise to digital threat assessments to protect users. Millan Platero holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Children with Special Needs from the University of Granada.
