John Madsen is a retired Detective with the Gainesville Florida Police Department, with an investigative background in fraud, sexual assault, and ICAC crimes, with 10 years serving as the North Florida ICAC Task Force Commander.

John’s background is in digital forensics, peer-to-peer investigations, and undercover investigations, having designed and implemented operational efforts such as multi-agency undercover traveler operations, victim identification collaborations with NCMEC and HSI, CSAM categorization efforts in support of Project VIC.

John has previously held positions of Training Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Griffeye Inc. John currently serves as the Director of Griffeye Strategic Development at Magnet Forensics and Board President of Raven, a 501c4 lobbying organization focused on legislative support for CSAM investigators nationwide.
