Paul Griffiths
Paul Griffiths is the Child Victim Identification Manager for Queensland Police Service. Paul was previously a police officer in the United Kingdom for over 18 years. Much of that time was spent investigating online child abuse, working for Greater Manchester Police, before moving on to the National Crime Squad (NCS) and subsequently the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre in London
Paul is a long-standing member of the INTERPOL Specialist Group on Crimes against Children. He has served as chair of both the sub-group on Computer Facilitated Crimes against Children and the Child Victim Identification sub-group, before serving as overall chair for six years.
Paul emigrated to Australia at the end of 2008. His role with QPS involves ensuring the maximum benefit is achieved from the analysis of seized data relating to online child abuse. To date almost 2000 child victims have been identified as a result of the work of the team at Queensland Police Service.
