Austin Berrier
Austin Berrier has been a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) since January 2003. He has been assigned to Crimes Against Children since January 2010. During that time Special Agent Berrier has conducted both traditional & undercover online investigations across a broad spectrum of platforms such as peer-to-peer, social media, file-sharing, live-streaming, & E2EE platforms.
Special Agent Berrier regularly presents & instructs on live-streaming investigations, online undercover techniques, and E2EE platforms both within the U.S. and internationally. Special Agent Berrier is a CSAM Investigations instructor for INTERPOL, EUROPOL, and the U.S. Department of State’s International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). Special Agent Berrier regularly works with international law enforcement partners on long-term undercover infiltrations targeting child exploitation networks.
Special Agent Berrier is a recipient of the 2018 Assistant Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award & the 2023 Child Rescue Coalition Global Impact Award.
