Detective Senior Sergeant Scott has been an operational police officer with the Queensland Police Service for over twenty-five years.

In 2009, Scott recognised the importance of focussing on cyber enabled crime, in particular internet facilitated crimes against children and transferred to Argos.

For over fourteen years, Scott had been managing covert online investigations with a strong focus on ‘darknet’ investigations. Scott’s role has also involved the facilitation of online investigative training, forensic triaging training, curriculum development and has regularly delivered training to investigators from all State Police Services and Forces, Australian Federal Police and International Police and Prosecutors.

In 2023, Scott took up the role as the Operations Leader of the Cybercrime Unit.
