Presentation:
'Shining A Light on Saving Kids'
The financial or commercial side of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) includes “live streaming”, “self-produced” (with or without the threats or extortion) as well as paid access to websites selling CSEM. Financial institutions (FSIs) have a significant role to play in the detection and prevention of these crimes by utilising transaction monitoring within their systems, and with the submission of Suspicious Matter Reports to the Regulator.
This 60-minute presentation will demonstrate the end results of collaboration between ICMEC Australia, Australian Law Enforcement and the Financial Services industry in developing two distinct products to support one another using valuable intelligence from other CSE sources. The creation of these products provide valuable insights into known scenarios or methods as well as provide access to CSE data artefacts for Intelligence matching purposes.
