   The 2024 Youth Technology & Virtual Communities conference - hosted by Argos, Queensland Police Service - targets an audience of law enforcement practitioners, Prosecutions, child protection workers, social workers, and child advocacy groups working directly or indirectly with child victims of crime. National and international presenters will explore the varied themes providing insight into the many aspects of child exploitation including:

  • The development and adoption of best practice in the engagement, identification, and prosecution of child sex offenders

  • Examine the typology and demographics of offenders in a worldwide context

  • Explore international and national patterns and trends in offending behaviour

  • Preventing sexual abuse by working with other law enforcement agencies, advocacy and support groups, government agencies and external stakeholders to educate and raise awareness of these horrendous crimes
